Hi everyone,

After several months of going week to week monitoring and hoping to correct the condition, I am forced to cancel my upcoming singing engagements due to something next to my vocal cords called a granuloma.

I’m bummed to have to bow out of both the iheartradio Music Festival in Las…

Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you’re really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I’ve got a few missing. It’s ok though, because I’ve got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who’s an 8-color type.. I’m like, “hey girl, magenta!” and she’s like, “oh, you mean purple!” and she goes off on her purple thing, and I’m like, “no - I want magenta!” - John Mayer

Heartbreak Warfare

If someone constantly plays you, why should you go back to them at any time?

If your heart is always broken, you know you have to change some things…right? Why is it that when we THINK we’re in love we THINK we HAVE TO be with that person regardless of how they treat us? If all the person gives us is heartbreak, a little…light bulb, if you will, should click on and say “Oh hey this person’s a jerk, stay away from them, they’re never going to change.” BUT instead we allow ourselves to keep getting hurt by them! The result being immunity to heartbreak…

Maybe this is just me, but heartbreak sucks and I’m pretty much sick of it…

From bad to worse to better…

So I blogged about getting into my bad fender bender the other day and I’m gunna add to that blog….

Friday I left school getting a phone call from my mom and she says, “Well they decided to total your car, so your not gunna have a car and I don’t know what we’re gunna do….(yadda yadda yadda).” Immediately started crying…We just got done spending a ton of money to get my mom’s van fixed from HER wreck (which was her fault) AND putting a BRAND NEW transmission in MY car. As you can probably tell, this was a major downer on us Thompson’s…  The next day, Mom and I went to town and decided to stop by all the dealerships in Lake Charles to see if they had any cars within our budget. We found a few but still didn’t want to pay a bunch for them…My dad decides to call state farm and see if they could raise the value of the car since it has a brand new transmission and I think he said that they would raise it a little bit…Anyways I think we’re gunna be able to just buy the car back and get it fixed or something like that. So that’s better than us having to buy another car..right?

Friday Night Fender Bender

Friday I was headed to pick up my friend, Kayleigh, to go to the football game that night. So we’re headed back to Moss Bluff, right, and I’m on Nelson Rd. about to get back on the interstate and I’m in heavy traffic not paying attention. Well I’m looking off to the side for some reason and when I look back ahead of me, the cars were stopped…..Totally smashed the front of my car up, not too bad, but it dented the hood all up and stuff. I was crying so much, but now that I look back on it, I laugh at myself. LOL. Praise God, I did NOT get a ticket! So needless to say, we did not go to the homecoming game. Awwww :’( Yeah, I was pretty bummed….

I’m worried because the people at the shop are saying it might be totaled because the radiator was dented a bit….I might just throw up if they total it….

Kinda ticked in English

So yeah this is my first blog ever. Pretty pumped.

Anyways, today in English III class I was in a pretty good mood until my psycho teacher totally ruined it. So I’m sitting here waiting for my graded paper to get passed back when I realize I didn’t get one back…neither did my friend Shelby. I asked, “Why didn’t I get my paper back?”. She responds, “Well did you turn it in?”. I then said, “Yes I’m positive,” as did Shelby. So I go looking through my binder just to check if it was in there, knowing that I’d at least completed the assignment, and sitting right there in the front pocket is the stupid paper. (Shelby did the same thing and also found hers.) I then notified her that I’d found it, and she rudely responds, “I’m not taking it. You’re juniors, you should be responsible.” Well I’m sorry that I’m OBVIOUSLY not perfect like you THINK you are! I mean I understand what she’s saying but, seriously? I honestly can say that I never heard her say we had to turn it in to at all. Don’t we all forget things from time to time. C’mon have a heart.
